Barcelona: Barcelona surcharge rises from €5 to €6 per person per night (then €7 from 1 April 2028).
Catalonia outside Barcelona (Girona, Costa Brava, Sitges, Tarragona, Salou): Rest-of-Catalonia rates rise: 5-star €6.00, 4-star €2.40, tourist apartment €2.50, youth hostel €1.00, other €1.20.
Tokyo: The tax becomes 3% of the room charge per person per night, from ¥13,000, and also covers simple lodgings and minpaku.
Vienna: The Ortstaxe rises to 8% of the price excluding VAT and breakfast.
Bhutan: The time-limited 50% discount (US$100 instead of US$200) is announced as valid until 31 August 2027.
