      Exemptions

      • Children under 6 pay nothing; children aged 6 to 11 pay half (US$50 a night).
      • Visitors staying no more than 24 hours in the border towns of Samtse, Phuentsholing, Gelephu and Samdrupjongkhar (waiver from 2 June 2026 until August 2027).

      Good to know

      • US$100 per adult per night (the discounted rate, valid until 31 August 2027). Indian nationals pay Nu. 1,200 a night instead (Nu. 600 for children aged 6 to 11): not calculated here.
      • The SDF is usually included in the price of your tour, but it is a government fee, paid per night spent in the country.
